I just rewatched Fellowship (theatrical version - I got them on BluRay for Christmas but have the extended ones on DVD). It was nice to get a LOTR fix in just under three hours! I agree that the extended matter much more for the 2nd and 3rd movies.
Yeah, an all-extended marathon is lovely, but if you’re cramped on time, it’s fine to do the theatrical version of FOTR. I’m not THAT interested in Aragorn visiting his Mom’s grave…

you deserve an amazing year. you *will have* an amazing year. If not, well, just send whoever/whatever it is over to me and I’ll pummel them into submission.
I don’t know that I deserve it, but I want it and I’m ready to fight for it. I love that you have my back. I will send whoever/whatever you’re way. You punch, I’ll kick… or will alternate. And same goes. You send your bad days my way and I will DESTROY THEM.

It’s now five days into the new year. I’m sick, as if Vasant, but our spirits are high. Our house is clean, our work is getting done, we’re doing yoga daily, and we’re not letting our sickness beat us. So far. I am looking forward to sleeping like crazy this weekend.
You all are so amazing. I’m so lucky to start the new year with friends who encourage me like you guys do. I hope all of you are having good new years as well, even if you’re sick, even if you’re under the gun for a deadline… I hope you have strength to fight for happiness. And if you don’t, let me know, and The Lady and I will beat up your bad days with our loquaciousness, good humor and mental hugs.
