Guess who has power and internet again?!
This weather system started Saturday, January 14th. We still have snow on the ground. And a lot of branches.
A LOT of branches. Lilo doesn’t mind. She thinks we just went out and filled the yard with new play sticks for her.

It was Lilo’s first major snow. Last time she saw snow, she was only three months old. She went nuts for the stuff. She’s half Husky, and you could tell. She burrowed into the snow and made tunnels, she hopped through snow drifts like a bunny, she ate as much of it as she could and ran around in circles until she was so tired that she tried to nap in one of her snow tunnels.

Yep, phone posting! At least I could do that the first couple days of the storm, the last several days the cell towers nearby, which were also damaged in the storm, barely allowed emailing.

We have power! We have internet! It feels like the last week lasted the duration of two weeks, but we are fully back in the 21st century!

Thank you! We did stay both safe and warm. We were all prepped and ready, so this storm was actually a bit fun to fight our way through!

I gotta say, I love having the internet back, but it’s been nice not having it. Vasant blew through The Hunger Games, I read both The Magicians and The Magician King. We haven’t read like this forever. Though our eyes hurt after a while, reading by candlelight for several days.
But I did miss you all. And I’m back (I hope… the lights are flickering the internet signal keeps going in and out)!
