So it’s time for the Big Game.
I always root for the underdog if my favorite team didn’t make it into the post-season. This year, that underdog is Eli Manning. Even though Manning beat Brady last time they met at the Superbowl, he’s still the underdog. The Patriots are favored to win.
Vasant and I are exhausted. We’ve been up since Friday, working on a never-ending video project. We finally have a date for the funeral, so yesterday I made all those trip arrangements, or at least started to. Then we spent yesterday and this morning cleaning up debris in the yard from the icestorm last month. Lots of downed trees. And we’re hosting and cooking for this party, so yeah. We’re tired.
But, it’ll be fun no matter how tired we are. I love the Superbowl, I love cooking and it’s a pretty day for the first big barbeque of 2012.
I hope all of you are having great Sundays, whether they are sports-centric or not.
Also, if you are watching the game, look for my favorite moment of any football game:
The moment when the camera man zeros in on a football player’s butt when the announcer is talking about a tight end. Happens every 2/3 games, I kid you not.
